Pastor Rick Mayo
President & Founder
In 1993, both Bro and Sis Mayo felt that God was leading them to Spokane, Washington to start a church from scratch. Having never been to Spokane or knowing anyone from Spokane previously the work seemed daunting at times. Yet- God’s faithfulness led Pastor and Sister Mayo through 5 facilities and 4 building programs. Cornerstone currently enjoys a 1,000 seat Sanctuary, family life center and educational campus on Cornerstone Way in beautiful Liberty Lake, Washington.

Kyle Guisande
Music Teacher
At 20 yrs old, he moved to Nashville and went on to sign with a major publishing company as a singer songwriter/producer. He has written with some of the biggest songwriters/producers in Pop as well as Country music genres. During this time, Kyle traveled the country, touring and playing in some of the most iconic venues, opening up for a world renown artist.
Although success was growing, Kyle found himself falling deeper into a life of sin. In 2018, tired of running from God, He rededicated his life and talents to Christ. Since then, Kyle has continued to write music and produce but for a different reason. No longer seeking to build his own name, he now writes to point others towards Christ and to build HIS kingdom.
Kyle continues to share his testimony through music with songs like “Wolves”, “End Of Me” and more. He has written songs for the church that are sung across the country. Most recently, He and group of young people that go by the name of Autopilot Worship released a song called “I Saw One” in collaboration with First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock and Rev. Nathaniel Urshan. Kyle lives in Spokane with his wife Breana and their little dog, Coast.
Jordan Guisande

Jordan was born and raised in California and has lived in the Spokane area since 2015. In 2017, Jordan began playing piano for Cornerstone Church and joined the staff as the Music Director in 2019.
He enjoys working with children, watching them develop as individuals and children of God. He likes to spend his time hiking, playing pickleball, or reading and studying in coffee shops. He can often be found in the studio creating music with Autopilot Worship and recording/posting covers. Before studying music, Jordan also attended culinary school and loves to cook.
Robin Pyatt
Para Educator
During this time, Erik and I were blessed with three wonderful children and I was blessed to leave the workforce and spend many years as a full time homemaker. Today, I’m blessed to be the grandmother of four incredible grandchildren.
My passion for teaching started as a Sunday School teacher at age seventeen. In 2002, we moved to Spokane and shortly thereafter, I discovered my next teaching passion as a Special Needs Para Educator for East Valley School Dist. I have learned a lot about making education accessible for all students regardless of developmental physical or behavioral challenges. I am so excited to finally have the opportunity to tutor at Cornerstone Academy and bring my passion for teaching into a Christ centered environment. I feel honored to work with such a great staff.
Nicole Dupont

Nicole enjoys pursuing health and wellness. She also enjoys being outdoors with her husband and spending time with their mini schnauzer pup Chester.
